A downloadable Demo

A game where you play as a virus, and your goal is to destroy the computer from the inside.

Malware Rewritten is a retro-looking action platformer where you are a virus sent into a computer system to destroy everything you see and gather data on the way.

You warp on a level, find a key for each gate that is blocking your way, and find Datapacks if you can. With every level, levels themselves get progressively more complex as each time, something new appears, which also includes new enemies you may encounter. But sometimes, a big mean antivirus may block your way to stop you from going further. With every boss you beat, you get better upgrades that make you even stronger and deadlier.

in case if you found a bug, please, send an email to contact.gearshockgames@gmail.com with all the details, and if you can, attach some screenshots or a video footage.

I loved every second I played of this (even though I sucked SOO bad). I love it when devs like you manage to take a simple concept and turn it into something you want to sink your time into!!

(This is the second game on the video)

I love this! Such a simple premise but executed so well.

Retro-feeling games like this always catch my eye, and it's very rare that they disappoint!

There's so many things I like about this particular taster of a potentially huge game! Like only having three bombs to use, that's a clever little touch that makes the player a wee bit more cautious about what to blow up and when.

The hidden deaths, like spikes just out of sight, are great too. It makes the game a learn by dying experience, which adds equally to the infuriation but also adds to the fun!

All in all, this was great fun, and I'd love to see more of the premise, with more levels, more puzzles, more action and more perilous platforming! Keep up the awesome work =)

years later i read your comment and realize that half of the moments where spikes are out of signt were fixed and the learn by dying experience is not something i was going for in the first place :^)

This is amazing haha!
